Spec Sheet V’s Spec Pack

Specification sheet (or more commonly known as a Spec sheet) can be found in a Spec Pack. And together they provide important details to ensure the manufacture’s team understands what your finished garment/s should look like. A Spec Pack will help produce accurate samples and improve sample turnaround time as well as simplify communication during all stages of sampling, production and quality control.

  • Construction notes

  • Finished garment measurements

Spec Packs include the following

  • Fabric & trim details

  • Colourways

  • Detailed technical diagrams

  • Construction notes

  • Finished garment measurements

  • Sample comments/reports and changes required at each sample stage

  • Fully graded measurements for all sizes

In most cases companies will use Excel to create their Spec Packs.  Excel allows you to easily populate information from one sheet to other as well as grade the sizes to help reduce human error. Manufactures where their first langue isn’t English also prefer to receive Spec Packs as an Excel document so they can easily and quickly translate the document.

To make life easier we have created a Spec Pack that you can access it for free here. We are also happy to work with you to create a tailor made format to suit your company’s individual needs.
